Thanksgiving
There is not thanksgiving in my country. I saw in move when I live in Iran. Now, I live here, they have holiday, that name's of Thanksgiving. It is interest for me. I expected for another family invite me but anyone no invite me (joke).
I decision invite my husband's family for Thanksgiving. Then I search in internet what is Thanksgiving? Fortunately my lesson about that .
They invite extended family, watch games for example football and cook turkey, mashed tomatoes, pumpkin, yams, cranberry sauce,... .
Now I understand :
1- What people do on that day.
2- What is the purpose of that day.
3- What is the symbol.
In fact, celebration is to get together and be merry.
People thanks God for blessing, health etc. This is very nice
I want to cook turkey for first time to than day (13 Oct 2014 ).
I hope so delicious.
