Black Creek Pioneer Village

We went to Black Creek Pioneer Village with school bus in 27 Nov 2014. We sing to our own native language, some people spanish, some people persian, some people chinese and finally bus singing. We took photo with yellow bus.
There were more than 40 houses style 1860 but unfortunately we could saw 7 houses. There were church, office, forging workshop, farm, school, water mill, Craft shop. We saw newspaper printing instruction. that was very amazing for me. People wear to the style of the 19th century, cook bread and lived without electricity and internet. Maryam said goodbye when we come back home in the bus because she wants return her country.

Thank Mr.Joseph

Talking to a Bank Teller

Talking to a Bank Teller

Bank Teller: Can I help you?

Sarabano: Yes, I’d like to deposit this money

Bank Teller: Please fill out a deposit slip.

Sarabano: Here you are. I've already filled out a slip. I’d also like to pay this HYDRO bill

Bank Teller: Sure, please give me. You can use the ATM outside the bank, too.

Sarabano: I know but the ATM does not work.

Bank Teller: Oh, really. I should tell my manager.

Sarabano: Okay,
This might take awhile.

Bank Teller: No problem, sir. We’re here all day – at least until 5:00.

Sarabano: But I do not have time. (Loud)

Bank Teller: Ok ok. I will do your work and then go to my manager.

(It might be a fight at the end)

Shopping for Warm-Weather Clothes

Spencer: I would love to see you in this outfit: a tank top and a miniskirt.

Lauren: No way! I would n’t look anything like that mannequin. I’m too shy and I’d make a fool of myself wearing such revealing clothes.

Spencer: That’s where you’re wrong. You would look great on the beach in that outfit with a bikini underneath.

Lauren: I haven’t worn a bikini in years. I always wear a one-piece now. In fact, I’d feel more comfortable in a T-shirt, cut-offs, and flip- flops.

Spencer: Why would you want to hide that figure? If you want to do that, why don’t you just wear this Hawaiian shirt and these board-shorts. Then no one will know you’re a woman!

Lauren: Don’t get mad. Okay, you can pick out an outfit for me and I promise to wear it for you. Okay?

Spencer: Fine, but I’m warning you: I want to see some skin!

Sara: This is very private but I love you then I do that.

Persian Halva

Halva is a popular Iranian dessert. It is a very tasty, sweet and rich dessert.
Ingredients
·       ***2 cups all-purpose flour
·         ****1  cup sugar
·         ****1 cup water
·         ****1/4 cup rosewater (you can find it at any Iranian store)
·         ****1  cups cooking oil (liquid)
·         ****3/4 teaspoon ground saffron
·         ****slivered pistachios for garnish

Preparation
Place sugar, saffron and water in a small pot and bring to a boil. Remove from heat. Add the rosewater and mix well. Set the syrup aside.

Place the all-purpose flour and rice flour in a large pot. Toast over medium heat for 5-7 minutes, stirring frequently.
Then add the oil and mix well.
Stir constantly over medium heat.
Continue stirring until the color is brown and you feel the smelling of cooked flour (it will take a while, be patient! Just do not burn the flour, you have to stir constantly). Once the flour is ready, remove from the heat.
Add the syrup and stir very quickly until halva thickens (just be careful when you add the syrup, it will start to sizzle because the flour mixture is very hot).
Place Halva in a dish and flatten with the back of a spoon. Garnish with nuts.
